Our entire team is committed to providing solutions that increase the efficiency of your business, improve the quality of your work place, and provide a quick return on your invested capital.
Ira Whitman, Product Manager, Iwhitman@docstar.com
Ira Whitman was a co-founder of docSTAR's parent company in 1985. He has filled various roles over the years, principally
revolving around product development. He was responsible for the initial design of docSTAR in 1995 and was the division's Team Leader in its infancy.
As the division grew, he has managed R&D, served as General Manager, and is now the Chief Technology Officer. Ira has a Master of Engineering degree in
Computer and Systems Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
Gregg Laird, Director of Marketing, glaird@docstar.com
Bringing to docSTAR nearly twenty years of high technology sales and marketing experience, Gregg is
responsible for advancing docSTAR's market leadership in the document storage and retrieval space through
marketing initiatives and business strategy development. Previously he held senior positions with Compaq, Digital
and EMC where his teams were responsible for designing and delivering software marketing programs with Microsoft, Oracle
and others.
Ray Emirzian, Director of Operations, remirzian@docstar.com
Ray leads the National Service Organization, which encompasses technical support, training, and professional field services. He
is passionately committed to docSTAR's customers and their satisfaction with the company's products and services.
Before joining docSTAR in 1998, Ray worked in technical support and product planning positions at Canon USA, Inc.'s imaging systems business. He holds
a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from Manhattan College in Riverdale, N.Y.
Blaine Owens, National Sales Director, bowens@docstar.com
Blaine comes to docSTAR as an accomplished management professional with over 20 years of experience in the sales and marketing of software solutions, focusing on imaging and document management. Blaine is responsible for leading docSTAR's sales organization by applying "best practices" from his many years in the document imaging and management industries to help grow docSTAR in this expanding market. He began his career as a programmer/analyst for Scan-Optics, a supplier of document scanning technologies for government and insurance markets. His next venture was as Director of Product Marketing and then Director of Healthcare Solutions with BancTec, a company focusing on item processing and image applications within financial service markets. For the past few years, Owens has been Vice President of Sales and then Vice President of Enterprise Solutions with Captiva Software. Throughout his career, he has been recognized as an industry expert by presenting at numerous events and contributing to various articles as well as a book on technology and the ECM industry.
Ed Olsen, Insurance Industry Manager, eolsen@docstar.com
In his role at docSTAR as Insurance Industry Manager, Ed is responsible for the overall short and long term success of docSTAR product offerings within the insurance industry. He is directly involved with development to insure that our system includes all necessary features that are required by the insurance industry. Ed has had an extensive history in the insurance industry with over 30 years of experience in a variety of capacities. He began his career working for Aetna Life & Casualty. He worked for this carrier for twenty years in various positions of increasing responsibility. Ultimately, he was responsible for Aetna's agency automation department that developed both the GEMINI and Sagitta systems. While at Aetna, he also served on the industry's Acord Board of Directors. Since leaving Aetna, Ed's primary experience has been with several vendors that provide automation products and services to independent insurance agencies. At various times in his career, he has been responsible for development, sales, training, customer service and general operations for various agency management systems.

Michael Renzi, leads the Corporate Finance department, which encompasses Accounting, Sales Administration, and Credit/Collections.
Mike joined the corporation in 1995, near docSTAR's inception and has witnessed firsthand the growth of docSTAR, its Partners, and the imaging industry over the last 9 years.
"My priority is to provide imaging solutions to our Partners and end-users which are financially suitable for their needs and ours. docSTAR wants and needs mutually beneficial long-term relationships as part of the docSTAR experience"
